Although pot de crème literally translates to “pot of cream,” there’s no dairy in this recipe. But fear not! This healthier twist is thick and delicious, just like the French custard-style dessert made with milk, cream, and eggs.
The secret? Sweet potatoes! Yep, that’s right — desserts with hidden, healthier ingredients are kind of our jam. And you’ve shown us you love them, too!
For this one, all you need to do is peel, chop, and cook a sweet potato.


Then, combine the sweet potato and chocolate in a blender along with the maple syrup, sea salt, and vanilla and blend, blend, blend!
Lastly, transfer the silky-smooth mixture to cups, bowls, jars, ramekins – whatever you like! – and let it cool in the fridge for about an hour to firm up.
